Geerten Liefting wrote his composition ‘Renovatio Mundi’ for the Hinsz-composition competition in Kampen (NL). It is based Jes. 43:18-19. A poem by Sytze de Vries ‘Je moet het zien’ (‘You have to see it’) served as an inspiration. The piece is written for the monumental Hinsz-organ of the BOvenkerk, Kampen, and for a vocal ensemble. During the competition is was performed by the Netherlands Chamber Choir and organist Cees-Willem van Vliet. It won the first prize. SATB (solistic fragments) + organ, 36 p.
