Rieteke Hölscher (1969) studied classical piano and jazz at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Her teachers were a.o. Frans van Dalen, Hans Broekman and Tine Schneider. She followed masterclasses with Fania Chapiro. After graduating in 1992, she studied privately with concertpianist Rian de Waal until 1999.

Since graduating, she maintains a vivid practise as a teacher, is a wanted performer and works besides as conductor and church musician. She always had a keen interest in composing, which resulted in studying with Jeroen d’Hoe and Caroline Ansink at the Utrecht Conservatory (HKU).

Rieteke Hölscher was nominated in september 2012 for the Composition Award of the Muziek Centrum Nederland. At this moment she studies for the Master in Composition at the HKU.
